Milan may not have the architectural beauty of other Italian cities, but it is undoubtedly one of the most stylish cities in the world. Widely proclaimed as the world fashion capital, Milan is Italy’s industrial and financial centre and consequently more hectic and brusque than Florence or Rome.

With hundreds of streets lined with exclusive boutiques and discount factory outlets, most visitors come to Milan to indulge in designer shopping. Milan does, however, have a thriving culture scene with a multitude of art galleries, museums and world-renowned theatres and opera houses.

The city is home to Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper fresco, the widely acclaimed La Scala opera house and the magnificent Duomo cathedral, the third largest in Europe. It also has a buzzing nightlife scene with a slew of trendy bars, pubs and glamorous nightclubs along Como Avenue and the Navigli quarter.
